Ze Network

Who would have thought that David Hasselhoff would return to the TV screen once again at the age of 70 and bring his old buddy K.I.T.T. right along with him?

But to lure 'The Hoff' to Germany, the VIP network has come up with a special plan. David is booked as an actor for a play in Görlitz, in which he is to play alongside Henry Hübchen. What he doesn't know at first - Hübchen is also part of Ze Network. Out of an engagement that was supposed to give David's career new momentum, he gets caught up in an international conspiracy to fight injustice once again.

Or is it all just a bad nightmare and David is slowly losing his mind? Find out in Ze Network.

K.I.T.T. PLAYS HIMSELF

The Herocar

Our K.I.T.T. replica had the honor of impersonating the real film car on nine days of filming - including the legendary original voice of William Daniels. Although the car only appears now and then as a cameo from episode 5 onwards, the scenes bring back old Knight Rider nostalgia.

Filming took place not only in the German cities of Berlin, Görlitz and Halle, there was also filming in Poland and finally even in Morocco, where the storm on the Palace of Ebisir was shot.

Logistically, the project was a major challenge. Not only was it necessary to transport the vehicle thousands of kilometers through several countries via roads and the Mediterranean Sea, but the car also had to function perfectly at every minute so as not to jeopardize the strict shooting schedule of the series.

Our biggest goal, however, was to create as detailed a representation as possible of the real vehicle from the series in order to perfectly stage the revival of K.I.T.T.. Only the seat belts distinguish the car from the original, but they were necessary for the stunts that occur in the series.

The actual original Herocar of the series was unfortunately not preserved after the end of filming in 1985. More about this at "What became of K.I.T.T.?" under...
